 QSI    Airend

Unsurpassed part-load efficiency begins with unmatched airend performance

Power$ync Airend

Quincy Compressor has always produced the most efficient single-stage rotary screw compressor on the market. That philosophy has been carried over the the new Power$ync variable capacity airend to provide the most efficient compressor for a part load application.

This new design retains the features that have made the QSI line of compressors the most rugged and reliable machines in their class.

These features include:

  • Positive closure inlet valve for low unloaded horsepower requirements
  • Positive displacement lubricant pump for dependable and efficient lubricant injection under all operating conditions
  • optimized rotor profile design for unsurpassed efficiency
  • Triplex discharge bearings that reduce individual bearing loads and add significantly to the service life
  • Exclusive axial flow inlet housing to condition inlet air and increase air flow

No other manufacture offwrs these features in a single-stage compressor.

- equipped QSI compressors provide greater part-load efficiency.

Machined in place Power$ync valves and computer control provide better part-load efficiency than all other unloading methods. The chart on the left compares the percent full load BHP to the percent of full load CFM for various part-load control methods. It is easy to see the Power$ync method can reduce operating expenses.

The reason Quincy chose to use the machined-in-place valve method is shown in this chart. Quincy was able to maintain the overall performance advantage that users have come to expect from the QSI line of compressors in a variable capacity airend. To really understand how much this advantage could mean to you, compare actual CFM produced to brake horsepower required. There is no need to buy different base-load machines to improve the overall power consumption of your air system. With Power$ync, you get the full performance advantage of a fixed capacity machine and part-load efficiency that can't be beat.
